About ADC ELECTRICAL

Founded in 1974. Currently operating out of our 15,000 sq foot purpose built factory based in Washington, Tyne & Wear. Our multi skilled engineers offer service & support for a wide sector of industries across the UK.

Workshop facilities include:
5 Ton overhead crane capacity
Dynamic balancing facility
Motor testing facility including Baker surge & Kikusui testing
VPI Varnish facilities
General engineering repair shop
Rewind shop
Machine shop
Press facilities
Castech specialist jointing equipment
Stock of new IE3 motor & motor spares

Our services include:
Repair and rewind of AC & DC electric motors and generators. Repair, sales & service of pumps, fans, blowers, coils and gearboxes. Repair, design and manufacture of transformers, including air and iron chokes. Ex motor repairs.

Site services: Equipment removal & refitting service, on site repair of motors, fans & pumps. Motor testing & triage services.

Condition monitoring services: Thermal imaging, Oil analysis, Laser alignment, Baker surge testing.

Codes of Practice 2025

IMPORTANT:

The AEMT Codes of Pracice are being replaced with our provisional codes of practice at the end of 2025. Members will be asked to demonstrate compliance with these codes by 2027. The Secretariat and Council are preparing for this transition, ensuring members have the support, resources and tools needed to comply.
