AEMT Roles (User Guide)

These roles and responsibilities define how individuals within a member organisation interact with the AEMT.

They clarify who is responsible for particular aspects of that relationship, such as managing training, maintaining organisational profiles, or handling public inquiries. They differ to job titles, which are the official designation given to an individual within an organisation, describing their position or function.

Main Contact

CEO

The primary decision-maker within the organisation and is responsible for setting strategic direction. In relation to the AEMT, the CEO would engage in high-level discussions and decisions, including membership renewal, strategic partnerships, and collaboration on industry-wide initiatives. They may also represent the organisation at key AEMT events and in discussions regarding industry standards, policy influence, and sustainability initiatives.

Finance Contact

Responsible for the prompt payment of invoices issued by the AEMT, and if necessary, ensuring the AEMT is setup correctly in any supplier systems. The finance contact receives all copies of invoices issued by the AEMT.

Training Booker

The Training Booker manages the training needs within the organisation, including enrolling employees in courses, workshops, and seminars offered by the AEMT. This role is essential in ensuring that the organisation’s staff remain up-to-date with training in Ex, Engineering, Health and Safety, Leadership, Business courses. They can interact with the AEMT by managing user access, and booking training sessions.

Organisation Editor

The Organisation Editor maintains the organisation’s profile within the AEMT’s directory and other platforms. This role involves updating company information, key contacts, users, and ensuring that the organisation’s details are accurate and up to date.

Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (ED&I) Rep

The ED&I Representative is responsible for ensuring that the organisation adheres to best practices in equality, diversity, and inclusion. Their interaction with the AEMT could involve participating in ED&I-focused events, workshops, or committees within the association. They may also collaborate with the AEMT to promote ED&I initiatives across the industry, share best practices, and contribute to the development of industry-wide guidelines or standards on these issues.

Net Zero Rep

The Net Zero Representative focuses on the organisation’s sustainability efforts, particularly in reducing carbon emissions and achieving net zero targets. Interaction with the AEMT would include collaboration on sustainability initiatives, participation in relevant workshops or working groups, and utilising AEMT resources to stay informed on the latest developments in energy efficiency and environmental best practices. They may also work with the AEMT on joint projects aimed at promoting sustainability across the industry.

Public Contact

The Public Contact is the designated representative whose details are displayed in the AEMT’s public directory. This role serves as the primary point of contact for external inquiries, networking, and engagement with other members of the AEMT or the public. This role also involves responding to inquiries from other AEMT members or the public regarding the organisation’s services or expertise.
