The Opening

The opening of their new building, Unit J, began on the evening of December 5th with a networking dinner at a nearby hotel. This gathering brought together government representatives, industry associations, customers, suppliers, and partners, providing a great chance to network with one another and with our team.

The following day, attendees enjoyed a delicious brunch, setting a warm and inviting tone for the day of the event. Presentations from Preformed Windings CEO James Stevens and Pablo Valverde, Deputy CEO of the International Hydropower Association (IHA), underscored the importance of this expansion.

Guided tours of both their current and new facility showcased our state-of-the-art operations. The current unit, Unit C, spans 19,000 square feet, while the new unit, Unit J, adds an additional 11,000 square feet. Attendees witnessed firsthand what is behind their high-voltage diamond coil production. These tours emphasized their dedication to delivering quality, with guests also receiving commemorative keepsakes, while food and drinks ensured a hospitable atmosphere.

To officially open the facility, there was a ribbon-cutting ceremony, led by Jake Richards, MP for Rother Valley. His participation reinforced the significance of this expansion for the local economy and the UK’s manufacturing sector. With the ribbon officially cut, the new facility began its journey as a cornerstone of Preformed Windings’ future growth.
